The International Alliance of Dermatology Patient Organizations, known as GlobalSkin, is a global, patient-led non-profit based in Canada. We unite and amplify patient voices worldwide to improve the lives of people affected by skin conditions.
GlobalSkin and our 330+ member organizations in 78 countries, spanning 59+ dermatological areas, collaborate to:
Engage global policy makers such as the WHO to improve access to diagnosis, care, and treatment. Launch global initiatives like the World Skin Health Coalition to elevate the issue on health agendas.
Foster networks and focused communities around specific needs and conditions (atopic eczema, rare dermatological conditions, and specific regional networks).
Conduct first-of-its-kind global data studies, “GRIDD/PRIDD” to quantify the real-world impact of dermatological conditions from the global patient perspective.
Educate the public, media, and decision-makers about the hidden burden of skin disease - physical, psychosocial, and economic.
Empower Members with connection, education, global campaigning, peer networking, and shared resources. We offer forums, e-learnings, events, conferences, micro-grants, and best-practice tools.

Approximately 1.8 billion people* worldwide live with one or more of over 3,000 distinct dermatological conditions. Yet, this vast patient community remains significantly underrepresented in healthcare conversations. GlobalSkin is committed to changing that.
We support patient organizations so they can better reach, empower, and advocate for the people they serve. By joining our global network, you’ll connect with fellow patient leaders, share best practices, and strengthen your organization’s impact.
